Weekends Are Gud.

Had a great time Sunday morning at the Fountain. Got to see some old friends, and make new ones. Tacos with the Yakes – thanks! It was great to see you guys; thanks for taking us out.
Then Kristy and I were off to Portland for an overnighter, celebrating the 14 years! First off, props to the Sewards for taking two, and Grandma Moe for taking two. Thanks to the Boyd homestead for taking care of Sheriff & Tucker. You all rock. Serious rock, like granite, or Jimi.
Some highlights in the city of Roses: A great Italian dinner at Porto Terra’s. Unreal desserts at Papa Haydn’s (thanks, Corey and Kristina!). Lunch at Pizza Schmizza (Yes, Robert and Shawna, we went. Great stuff!) Powell’s City Of Books (Mecca for readers). Lots of browsing (is it shopping if you don’t buy anything?).
So many things I could have bought today: a Mr. T keychain, a switchblade comb, sunglasses with the secreat mirror reflection inside (I had the comb and the shades at a young age; forever the hip spy!) Final dinner at Henry’s. Long drive, traffic, tire, excited to get back to see the kids.
So tomorrow it all comes back crashing in – life. It’s so good to get away sometimes, retreat, refresh. Laugh and dream with that Norwegian Warrior that God gave me fourteen years ago.
All right. Enough said. Portland’s awesome. Kristy is fully awesome. I’m tired; I’m going to bed.

Yes! You went to Schmizza! What kind did you have?

Don’t know the name – just a slice of what they had available. Feta, peppers, some other stuff… and a greek salad. Awesome!
